A young actor is set to make his TV debut on the BBC’s prime-time show Doctor Who.

Jamie Oram, eight, will appear as George on Saturday.

The Feering Primary School pupil filmed the episode in Cardiff in September last year.

Jamie, of School Road, Little Totham, said: “I am really looking forward to it. I’m very excited to see the Doctor and me on TV. It was really fun filming it.”

During the episode his character suffers nightmares that only the time-travelling Doctor, played by Matt Smith, can stop.

Hilary Oram, Jamie’s mum, said: “We have been waiting a long time and we’re certainly looking forward to Saturday night.”

Jamie, who says he wants to make a career on screen, has been a member of London agency Alphabet Kidz since he was five.

He also attends Honywood Community Science School, in Coggeshall, for acting classes.
