MOTORISTS in Essex are being urged to look out for a getaway car used in an armed robbery.
Raiders made off with a haul of watches from Goldsmith Jewellers, in Tavern Street, Ipswich, at 10am.
Two men have been arrested on the southbound carriageway of the A12 at Kelvedon in relation to the incident.
Nishan Wijeratne, spokesman for Suffolk Police, said: “Several men broke the shop window with a sledgehammer and stole a quantity of high-value watches.
“They drove off in two vehicles.
“A vehicle was stopped near Kelvedon approximately an hour later and two men were arrested.”
Officers are currently searching for a number of men who drove off in a black Mini Cooper. The registration number is LV57 EGZ.
