GET-TOUGH police powers to crack down on suspected trouble-makers in Jaywick are being extended.
Council bosses are rubberstamping a six-month extension to a dispersal order covering the village.
It gives police the power to ban people suspected of being potential trouble-makers from the area for up to 24 hours.
Anyone who ignores the warning could be arrested.
Police say there has been a fall in crime and antisocial behaviour since the dispersal order was introduced two years ago.
It means they can take action before trouble flares.
The extension will run over the summer until September.
