A SOLDIER shot dead while fighting alongside comrades from Colchester has been honoured with a full military funeral.
Private Conrad Lewis, died patrolling Helmand, in Afghanistan, while attached to Colchester-based Third Battalion, The Parachute Regiment.
The 22-year-old, who originally served with 4 Para, The Territorial Army Battalion, was caught in a firefight and died along with Pte Lewis Hendry from 3 Para last month.
His funeral was held at the Collegiate Church of St Mary, in his home town of Warwick, today.
