The family of a three-year-old Clacton girl fighting leukaemia have launched an appeal in aid of the charitable trust which cared for her.
Tia Goode, of Tulip Way, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in May. The family stayed in Addenbroke's Hospital, Cambridge, for Tia's six weeks of intensive treatment and were so overwhelmed by the care and support they received at Acorn House, a residential house next to the hospital, that they wanted to raise some money for it.
Almost 77 businesses have already donated prizes for a raffle at the Never Say Die pub in Jaywick on August 30, and at Budget off-licence in Ravensdale, Great Clacton, staff are trying to raise £3,000 to send Tia on a trip when she is well enough and have already racked up £700.
- Anyone who can help or wants to buy raffle tickets should call the family on 01255 225042.
