A GAY rights activist will lead a discussion at the Minories in Colchester.

Clare Dimyon will be speaking as part of Essex University’s Twilight Zone Café series about the Holocaust on Monday.

She was awarded an MBE in 2010 for promoting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT) in central and Eastern Europe.

She is the founder of Pride Solidarity and has visited countries around Europe to encourage and support LGBT events.

Her discussion will talk about the development of equality and diversity since the Holocaust.

The free session at the bistro in High Street, Colchester, runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
