A BITTER row over parking problems has lead to a council confiscating another council's signs.
Residents living near Colchester General Hospital have made repeated complaints about the parking situation in their roads.
They say they are clogged up with visitors to the hospital who are trying to avoid parking charges.
But a survey carried out by Essex County Council did not find sufficient problems to justify the introduction of parking restrictions.
Myland Parish Council was not satisfied with the decision and councillors decided to take matters into their own hands.
They paid £300 for four signs to be made stating "No Hospital Parking".
They were put out on Saturday - but within days they had been confiscated by the county council which said they were an obstruction.
