FANS queued around the block to get the autograph of a multimillion-selling thriller writer.

Lee Child, who penned the hit Jack Reacher series, made a guest appearance at Waterstones in Colchester High Street yesterday.

Clive Parsons, event manager, said: “He was signing from noon until about 1.30pm and there was a constant flow of people. There was a queue all across the shop and out down the street.”
