The Beast of Essex has been spotted again!
A Point Clear resident, who has asked not to be identified, saw the cat-like creature in a field close to her home.
She was a passenger in a car when she caught a glimpse of a large black or dark-coloured animal, which was walking "as if it was stalking something".
"I was driving up Point Clear Road when I was shocked to see what looked like a very large cat in the field near Lee Wick lane," she said.
"Its pose reminded me of a hyena, but it was big and black. I told my husband to look but we had passed by already and he didn't see it.
"I convinced myself I must have been seeing things but when my son told me about reading the story in the paper, I realised I must have seen the beast too."
