Wayne Brown likes to keep things steady.
Solid - Wayne Brown and his fellow defenders have been a tower of strength at the back for Colchester United this season. (47174-1)
And the centre-back has certainly been one of the steady members of Colchester United's line-up this season as they push their way up the Coca-Cola League One table.
The front runners have taken a lot of attention in the last few months with the likes of Chris Iwelumo, Neil Danns, Gareth Williams and Jamie Cureton all picking up the headlines for their goalscoring heroics.
But at the back, Brown and Liam Chilvers are making their mark in a bid to make the U's the tightest defence in the division.
"We let in 50 goals last year and we want to make sure the total is less than that this time round," said Brown.
"At the half way point it's looking good, so we have to keep working on it."
