Kem Izzet insists there is no need to panic.
The Colchester United midfielder came on as a second-half substitute in the U's first defeat in 13 games on Boxing Day, when they lost 1-0 to Swindon Town in the final minute.
It brought the brilliant run of 12 games without loss to an end.
However, one defeat does not mean it's time to start running around like headless chickens, according to Izzet.
"One defeat in 13 games is still very good and I don't think that what happened on Boxing Day means we should all start worrying.
"The goal they scored came from a great cross and how Rory Fallon got into score I don't know as he wasn't even a yard away from Wayne Brown who was marking him - it was a good goal."
The whole experience could work in Colchester's favour according to Izzet, though.
He said: "It could be the kick-up the backside that we need.
"Things have been going very well for us and it is important to remain focused and consistent. This result has been a bit of a wake-up call and we are now extra determined to get victory against Scunthorpe tonight."
