Colchester United boss Phil Parkinson was in a reflective mood after his side had held Coca-Cola League One leaders Huddersfield Town to a 1-1 draw at Layer Road.
The U's had taken the lead through George Elokobi on 49 minutes.
However, the Terriers struck back later in the second-half to walk off with a share of the spoils. Parkinson said: "It was really a case of two points dropped.
"We were better than them in the first half and the chances we created were great. It's fair to say that's one of the best first-half performances we have had this season.
"I said to the lads at half-time, though, that we shouldn't get down on the fact that we hadn't managed to score
"We had to keep ourselves positive and go out in the same way for the second half."
