Ipswich Witches have a 13-point deficit to make up against Arena Essex at Foxhall Stadium tonight (start time 7.30pm).

They lost the first leg of their Craven Shield meeting against the Hammers at Purfleet last night and will need to win by more than that margin to gain the aggregate bonus point.

Another result the same as last week would do nicely, when the Witches comfortably saw off the Hammers in the Elite League with a massive 64-30 win and despite the scoreline, it was a terrific meeting with some good racing.

Last night Hans Andersen was missing from the side as he was racing in a Swedish League play-off meeting and the Witches used Wolverhampton's David Howe as a guest.

Carl Wilkinson also made his official debut for the club after being signed as a floating reserve.

With Daniel King's machinery on the way to Austria for this weekend's World Under-21 final, Wilkinson stepped in.

He impressed the Witches management with a couple of guest appearances for the team earlier in the season and when they had to re-declare the side to bring in Mariusz Puszakowski he was the obvious choice.
