A GRANDMOTHER has asked the Echo to work its magic again after it reunited her with two of her favourite teachers from 51 years ago.

Last year Pat Lewis asked us to help her find two of her teachers - Mary Johnson and Molly Haynes - from the time she attended St Bernard's School in Westcliff.

Thanks to Echo readers, she met up with them again for the first time in five decades as well as her old friends Valerie Fane, formerly Batchelor, and Debra Eakins, formerly Waylon.

Now on the eve of her 65th birthday, Pat has asked Echo readers to help her find her other school friends.

She will be travelling from her home in Bristol to Westcliff on October 1 for a reunion at St Bernard's, in Milton Road, and she hopes to see everyone who in Miss Enid Brown's class or Miss Ena Edwards's class."

Pat said: "It would be a lovely present to see them all again. Even if they don't remember me, I will remember them." Anyone who attended the classes can ring Pat on 07940 911185.
