Fabian Wilnis is facing at least three weeks on the sidelines after pulling a muscle in his groin.
The Ipswich Town defender suffered the injury during the first half of Tuesday's 2-2 draw at home to Southampton.
The Dutchman was due to have a scan today but the early signs are that he will be out for a minimum of three weeks. Jay McEveley, meanwhile, is an injury doubt for Sunday's eagerly-anticipated derby match at home to Norwich.
The on-loan defender is still struggling with a foot injury he picked up in Town's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United on Saturday. Matt Richards is standing by the replace him.
