A village firm has been given a clean bill of health to provide a mobile day surgery at its site for residents across Tendring.
A Smith Great Bentley is the market leader in producing the units at its premises in Colchester Road, Frating.
It is working alongside Vanguard Healthcare Solutions to create the facility which will deal with elective surgery and give patients another option from travelling further afield for operations.
The unit will comprise consulting rooms, an endoscopy area and a recovery ward for those who have undergone an operation, in a bid to improve patient choice and reduce waiting lists.
The firm has asked for a temporary five-year permission for the scheme which Tendring councillors welcomed and gave the all-clear.
