ROCHFORD Hundred enjoyed one of the greatest weekends in their golfing history when, after winning the Essex Youth Shield for the first time since 1961 on Saturday, they followed up by collecting the senior County team competition for the Thornton Cup the following day.
The juniors earned a narrow 3-2 win over Channels at West Essex to kick off the glory weekend, defying lightning storms in a captivating match.
It went to two extra holes in the final match, with the tie poised at 2-2.
