A BURST water main caused traffic mayhem yesterday afternoon.
The pipe, belonging to Essex and Suffolk water, flooded the road and forced the traffic down to one lane between Sadlers Farm roundabout and Tarpots roundabout in Benfleet.
The notoriously busy area was jam packed with cars trying to get to the High Road as engineers were called out to fix the problem.
