A man who died after a dispute at a cashpoint in Colchester has been named by police.

Unemployed Westley Odger, 27, of Jack Andrews Drive, Greenstead, died from a neck wound at about 3pm on Tuesday after a row near the Nationwide cash machine in Hunwicke Road, Greenstead.

He was taken to Colchester General Hospital, where he later died. A post-mortem ex-amination showed the cause of death was a stab wound.

Mr Odger moved to the area recently after spending some time living in High Woods.

Police yesterday cordoned off the precinct and car park in the area to preserve the crime scene.

Detectives today renewed appeals for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Two men aged 36 and 31 have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the incident. A woman aged 25 has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The trio, who are all from Colchester, were being questioned at police stations in north Essex.
