DISABLED Vickie Bristow is set for a treat tonight as celebrity Fran Cosgrove pays her a special visit.
The Celebrity Love Island winner will be attending a Chinese charity night to raise money towards the Echo's appeal to help 13-year-old Vickie learn to walk.
The cerebral palsy sufferer of Pinmill, Laindon, needs £8,000 to fund a trip to a specialist clinic in Hungary for six-months treatment. So far more than £3,500 has been raised.
Fran will be making a guest appearance at the Joy King chinese restaurant, in Hamlet Court Road, West-cliff, where staff hope to raise more than £1,500 tonight and tomorrow night.
Manager Lisa Nguyen said: "I met him a week ago and told him about the evening and he was very keen to support Vickie. He is very interested in the campaign."
The restaurant will donate £16 to the appeal for every customer and there will be the chance to buy two signed Southend United footballs and enjoy a dragon dance.
Vickie and her mum, Mandy, will be attending tonight's event. To book a table at the event call the restaurant on 01702 338822.
