Spriralling petrol prices may mean motoring misery on most filling station forecourts but it's wonder-fuel news for one budding businessman.
Fat of the land - record high fuel prices are a bonus for Jason Cattrell's biodiesel business. Picture: NIGEL BROWN (37580-3)
While record £1 a litre pump prices hit drivers hard in the pocket, Jason Cattrell is laughing all the way to the bank.
He started selling fuel made from old chip oil 12 months ago.
It's eco-friendly and costs about 10p a litre less than normal petrol. Now the 'biodiesel' is proving a hit as petrol prices soar.
"We can't supply demand at the moment," said Jason, who set up JC Fuels with partner Deborah Allardyce in Fordham Road, Wormingford.
They pick up used cooking oil from restaurants and turn it into fuel.
