It is feared that burglars made off with two dogs in a raid on a house.
The owners of the property in Porter Way, Clacton, discovered that their home had been broken into.
A door had been smashed and a number of items, including a PlayStation, had been taken.
Their two staffordshire bull terriers were also missing and it is more likely that they have been stolen, rather than ran off.
The first dog is black and white and the brindle bitch was only ten weeks old.
The burglary was discovered at 10.30am on Friday and anyone with information should contact Clacton police on 01255 221312.
