THE distraught wife of murdered Trevor Moriarty today issued a tearful tribute to a "devoted husband and father."

Mother-of-two Sam Moriarty, 19, is still trying to come to terms with the the fact she will never see her "best friend" again after he was stabbed on September 4.

Staying with her mum in Rayside, Basildon, Mrs Moriarty said she never imagined she would be a widow at this age.

She added: "Trevor was my life. I loved him. We spent every minute of every day together. He was my best friend.

Mr Moriarty's body was discovered outside a phone box in High Road, Vange, around 7pm last Sunday. A post mortem revealed he died of a stab wound.

* ANOTHER two people have been arrested and bailed in relation to the death of Trevor Moriarty.

Steven Bennett, 40, from Tilney Turn, Vange, has already been charged with murder and Natasha Davies, 34, of the same address, has been charged with aiding an offender.

They have both been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Basildon Crown Court tomorrow.

On Friday police arrested a 34-year-old man from Basildon on suspicion of murder and a 33-year-old woman from Basildon on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have both been released on police bail pending further inquiries until November 9.
