Kevin Horlock today leapt to the defence of team-mate Darren Currie after his penalty miss in Ipswich Town's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United.
Currie spurned a golden chance to get his side back in the game when his weak spot-kick was easily saved by Paddy Kenny.
Steve Kabba then grabbed his second goal in injury-time to put the gloss on the hosts' victory but Horlock told the Gazette: "No-one was blaming Darren.
"It would have been a good time to score and who knows what would have happened if we'd equalised?
"But Darren showed real bottle to take it in the first place. He wanted the job and credit to him for that.
"These things happen in football but he'll come back stronger as a result of it."
