Steve Clark, headteacher at Braintree's Tabor Science College, put himself in stocks and was pelted with items to raise £1,132 for the Adam Brandon Memorial Fund.

Adam, 14, a former Tabor pupil and keen footballer, died last year from a rare illness.

Regulars at the Panfield Bell pub in Kynaston Road, Panfield, want to raise money for new sports facilities on the playing fields at the back of the pub, where the event took place, in Adam's memory.
