Classic car enthusiasts got all revved up for the last show of the season in Clacton.

Despite the dismal weather more than 100 vehicles were on show - but that was down on the expected 250.

But it still proved popular and a car boot and autojumble did good business.

Organiser Don Kerry, who has organised seven shows this year and attended 31 with his own vehicles, said it had gone as well as he could have hoped under the circumstances.

"People are not so keen to come along when it rains and they have spent hours polishing their cars," he said.

"Some who had to travel long distances were not prepared to chance it and decided not to take part after all."

Mr Kerry said the number of visitors was also down on previous shows but he had anticipated that would be the case.
