SECURITY has been boosted at Basildon Hospital with the introduction of two new security chiefs.
Andrea Saville and Suzanne Cross, who will work closely with police, will concentrate on patient and staff safety while using their powers to confiscate booze from troublemakers.
They will soon also have the power to dish out fines.
Suzanne said: "We will focus on four main issues - tackling violence and aggression against staff, making sure patients are safe, ensuring hospital property and assets are secure, and ensuring drugs and hazardous materials are kept safe."
