Braintree Council is to investigate regular flooding at an Earls Colne car park.
After reports of problems at the Queens Road site, a Braintree Council engineer visited the car park to look more closely at the drainage system.
After finding the drains were full of water the expert concluded that the land the car park was built on had a high water table.
Further investigations will now be carried out by the engineering department to try to solve the problem.
