People interested in learning self defence are invited to join a weekly class in Southend.
Darren Titmas runs sessions in Kateda, a form of martial art from Tibet, on Thursdays between 7pm and 9pm at Clifftown United Reform Church in Nelson Street.
He said: "The skill is ideal for both men and women wanting to get fit, learn a practical form of self defence or just want to try something different."
Membership is £20, and classes are £3.50 for beginners.
