With the highs and lows of the 1998 season now history, Chelmsford Cricket Club's preparations for 1999 start in earnest at the Essex County Ground Indoor Cricket School on Sunday (January 10), at 7.30pm.

The Raffingers Matchplay senior colts squad will be commencing an intensive 10 week coaching course, which are to be run by several of the club's qualified coaches, and senior nets will follow on at 8.45pm.

In 1999, Chelmsford CC are committed to building on last season's success in winning the Ibex Essex Sunday League by translating this to a serious challenge for honours in the Shepherd Neame Essex League and are therefore looking to strengthen the player membership.

New adult playing members of any standard and good standard colts are always welcomed. The club runs four Saturday teams and two Sunday teams, in addition to colts sides at all age-groups.

Any prospective new members wishing to attend nets or requiring further information are invited to telephone the Chelmsford Cricket Club Secretary, John Everard, on 01245 267357.
