Billericay's long-awaited Tetley Vase last-32 tie should finally go ahead on Saturday - but not without a twist.
The runaway Eastern Counties Two leaders were changed and ready for last weekend's bid to host UCS Old Boys when their fellow 1998 Vase quarter-finalists decided Billericay's pitch was unplayable.
Now, with the Stock Road surface still rated unfit, Brentwood have come forward to loan their facilities, which should ensure the fifth-round tie goes ahead.
The enforced break has given Billericay's highly-regarded captain Paul Daly, as well as John Bailey and Adam Hudson, an extra seven days' recovery time, although all would have been fit enough last week.
The tie at King George's Park starts at 2pm.
