Damage valued at £5,000 has been caused to a car in Colchester after battery acid was poured on it.
The attack happened in Old Heath Road, opposite a bus stop and the Magnet Kitchen Warehouse, between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Monday night, according to an Essex Police spokesman.
Officers are convinced there must have been witnesses to the attack and have asked anyone who saw what happened to come forward and contact them on 01206 761212.
