Rural route bus drivers have been sent back to school to brush up on their customer service skills.
Drivers from Essex's Village Link services are being shown how to best respond to passengers needing help with buggies, luggage, heavy shopping, walking aids and wheelchairs.
And to highlight the requirements of disabled travellers, the 50 drivers were given first-hand experience of limited mobility by having their legs bound and their sight impaired.
They will receive special driver training certificates from Clive Baker, chairman of the county council's local transport sub committee.
