One of the stars of this year's hottest new movie will be appearing at a Basildon sci-fi fair this weekend.
Hugh Quarshie, who plays Captain Panaka, head of the Queen's security, in Star Wars Episode One - The Phantom Menace, will make his first European appearance at the event.
Also at Basildon Sports Centre, in Nethermayne, will be actor Tim Rose, alias Admiral Ackbar in the film, and Richard Le Parmentier, who plays Admiral Motti.
Stunt co-ordinator Peter Diamond, who has organised the action for all four Star Wars films also plans to make an appearance alongside a host of other characters including Storm Troopers.
The fair takes place on Sunday from 11am-4pm. Entry is £2 for adults and £1 for children.
