Billericay A, who retained their first division status only when promoted ECC C dropped out, have started the season with a convincing 8-2 win over Baddow Village A in Division One of the Chelmsford & District Table Tennis League.
The signing of leading county veteran Ray Murray will greatly enhance their prospects of survival and he duly stayed unbeaten. Waseem Qureshi excelled for Baddow with excellent wins over Ray Eldridge and Brian Warren.
