Matchroom Sport, the Romford-based business run by Barry Hearn, is backing Essex and England cricket captain Nasser Hussain's benefit year with four separate functions.

The Waterfront Place Restaurant, Chelmsford will be the venue on Tuesday, October 5 for A Question and Answers Evening With Nasser Hussain with tickets available at £35.

The following Tuesday guest speaker Mark Nicholas and auctioneer John Inverdale will be present at an MCC Long Room Dinner. Tickets cost £90.

The Porter Tun Dinner will be held on October 19 at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London with Dermot Reeve as a guest speaker. Tickets will cost £50.

Hussain's last function before going away on tour will be at The London Marriott Hotel on October 25. This will be in the form of an evening of professional boxing in the company of members of the England cricket team.

Ticket prices are £100, but there is a special package available that includes a champagne reception plus VIP ringside table for 10 guests plus two England players, followed by a post evening party priced at £2,000 per table.
