Basildon star Denise Van Outen dated rock star Gary Glitter, a court has been told.
Glitter is appearing at Bristol Crown Court charged under his real name, Paul Francis Gadd, with four counts of indecently assaulting an underage girl in the early 1980s.
He also faces four charges of serious sexual assault against the same girl. All the offences are alleged to have taken place between March 1980 and June 1982. He denies all the charges.
John Royce, QC, prosecuting, asked the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, about the background to her break-up of her relationship with Glitter in 1991.
She told the jury: "It was already broken off with Gary. He had been seeing Denise Van Outen."
When the relationship finished Denise was an unknown teenager.
