Get me to the finish on time!
Madcap Paul Hodge will experience something most men don't as he pounds his way around the London marathon - pregnancy!
The taxi-driver from Wickford plans to complete the 26-mile race dressed as a nine-month pregnant bride.
His theory is she would definitely be in a hurry to reach the end. Paul, of Hyde Way, is training hard for the event but is already pretty fit because he is the reigning UK iron man.
To win the competition he had to complete a marathon, swim and cycle 112 miles one after the other.
He said: "I'm quite a fit man so the London marathon shouldn't been too much trouble even in my outfit.
"I reckon a pregnant bride would be keen to reach the end quickly!"
Paul plans to raise cash for the Dreams Come True charity, which grants terminally ill children special wishes.
Anyone who would like to sponsor him for the marathon on April 16, should call 07971 080098.
