Romford bantamweight Francis Ampofo headed the bill at York Hall, Bethnal Green when he took on Adi Lewis for the vacant Commonwealth title.
Other Matchroom boxers due to feature on Saturday's undercard were Barking featherweight Marc P. Callaghan against John Barnes from Sunderland; Canning Town cruiserweight Paul Maskell against Adam Cale; welterweight Paul Knights against Delroy Mellis; and Basildon light heavyweight Dean Doyle against Mark Dawson.
Stockwell light middleweight Richard Williams and West Ham light middleweight Steve Roberts were also in action.
Welterweight Darren Bruce, who broke a bone in his right hand during the third round of his draw with Mark Ramsey at Olympia three weeks ago, is, sensibly, not going to rush back into action.
"I'm hopeful the plaster will be coming off on Monday, and that it will be replaced with a light splint," he said last week.
"It certainly feels a lot better, but I won't rush back. If necessary I'll wait until September or October for my next contest."
