A teenage girl has been hurt in a hit and run accident.
The 15-year-old girl was walking along Church Street, Harwich, at 11.15pm on Wednesday when she was in collision with a maroon Vauxhall Corsa fitted with alloy wheels.
The car, which was driven by a man, did not stop after the accident.
The girl was slightly injured and was taken to Colchester General Hospital for a check-up.
Insp Peter Gardner, of Harwich police, said the incident could be linked to the theft of a Vauxhall Corsa earlier in the evening.
A red Saturn Vauxhall Corsa (registration P603 MOR) was stolen from Albert Street, Harwich, at 8pm.
