Do you have room in your heart and home for a loveable pooch?

Vicky, Astin and Ben all need lots of affection after being taken in by Gemini Kennels in Wickford.

Astin is a three-year-old collie cross who is good with other dogs and loves children and adults.

Found walking the streets of Grays, Astin is very playful and needs lots of exercise.

Two-year-old Vicky is a greyhound who was found abandoned in Tilbury.

Eunice Reece, manager at the kennels, said: "Vicky is so calm she could be housed with people of any age, from young children to elderly grandparents."

Ben is a five-year-old collie cross springer spaniel who has conquered a nasty case of nerves since arriving at the kennels in Hovefields Avenue, and is happy around female dogs and grown-ups.

Eunice said: "Ben's a really lovely boy who could be suitable for someone who works part-time, as he's quite content in his own company for a while."

If you can give a home to any of the dogs, contact the kennels on 01268 725825, or email them at k9net.com-charities-k9dogrescue

Last week's homeless hounds, Tessa the Alsatian and Sally the greyhound, still need caring owners.

If you can help call Acres Way Kennels on 01268 770402.
