Chelmsford City's promotion ambitions re-ceived an unexpected three points bonus last weekend without Gary Bellamy's side even kicking a ball.
With City's Dr Martens League Eastern Division match at Rothwell rained off two of their nearest promotion rivals - Baldock Town and Tonbridge Angels - both suffered home defeats.
"It's the easiest three points we've gained all season!" quipped Bellamy. "The only shame was that Grantham's match at Dartford was also called off.
"But these clubs have more games to play than us and we have the points in the bag and have no cup competition worries either," he continued.
"The rest has enabled the squad to overcome any knocks but they are now all anxious to get back playing again,"
Far from having a day off on Saturday the manager had a full training session in preparation for Saturday's tough home clash against second-in-the-table Baldock (kick off 3pm).
"As they lost on Saturday at home to Burnham they will be looking to bounce straight back so the players know they have be on their game from the start," Bellamy said.
"Apart from Sean Caton, who has returned to Heybridge Swifts after his loan spell, everyone else will be it and up for the game."
City's expected team will be: Catley; Girling, Lewis, Dobinson, Moffat; Hunter, Hyatt, Taylor, Murray; Portway, and Bennett.
