Police are hunting burglars who struck at two homes in Barnston near Dunmow in daylight on Tuesday.
Electrical equipment, including a video camera and jewellery was taken from a house in High Easter Road between 9.30am and 2pm.
Another home in Barnston Green, Barnston was broken into between 9am and 11am. It was not known if anything had been stolen, said police, who are linking the two raids.
