The New Hall School, Boreham swimming team were overall winners of the Mid-Essex Secondary Schools Sports Association Swimming Gala where 12 schools from the Brentwood and Chelmsford compete in a yearly event every February.
Hosted by New Hall School and officiated by ASA members of the Chelmsford Swimming Club, competition was fierce throughout the age groups and trophies were evenly distributed
Year seven winners were Shenfield; Year eight winners were Anglo-European; the year nine/ten winners were Moulsham; and year 11/13 winners were Boswells.
New Hall PE teacher, Mrs Jones, who helped coordinate the event, said, "The depth of ability in the New Hall team and their performance in the relays was particularly pleasing to see.
"Hopefully commitment to early morning training and participation at club sessions will help the team maintain its record for a third year."
