PREMIER DIVISION

Old Chelmsfordians came back three times to equalise against Brookhouse and with five minutes to go Neil Fergus struck home what proved to be the winner for them.

The other old boys' goals were netted by Peter Dewisson, Andy Cook and Darren Chaston.

Coggeshall Town needed a win to maintain their Championship challenge but a goalless draw with struggling Little Waltham was not what the doctor ordered.

DIVISION ONE

The top two met at Greenbourne where the homesters triumphed 4-1 over Fyfield Lion to put themselves clear at the top. Ian Young (3) and Mark Elliott netted the Greenbourne goals.

A competitive game at Templar saw the home side win 2-1 to leave opponents Priory Sports anchored at the foot of the table. Richard Charlesworth was on target for Priory, while Joe Smith and Steve Mark netted the Templar goals.

Writtle recorded a convincing 4-0 victory over Ravens , in a match well controlled by referee Alan Friend. Jiggins, Kyle Print and Danny Free (2) were the Writtle scorers.

DIVISION TWO

Due to cup commitments, Springfield have fallen behind in the championship race, but a 6-2 win over second-in-the-table Maldon Saints did their chances no harm at all.

Kevin Frost (2), Steve Wareham, Richard Loden, Dave Nelly strikes and an own goal made up Springfield's six goal tally.

Leaders Great Baddow trounced Writtle Reserves 6-0, Dave Crabtree (3), Danny Gosling (2) and Scott Hance the scorers.

Despite Payne netting twice for Cherry Tree Sports Reserves , his goals were in vain as his side were thrashed 8-2 by Terling Social .

Priory Sports Reserves drew 2-2 with Margaretting SSC , Tony Waring and player/manager Steve Dawson on target for the Sports.

Little Elms continued their recent fine form to pull away from the relegation zone with a 4-0 win over Chelmsford Social Club .

DIVISION THREE

Two goals from Jamie Stewart saw Galleywood defeat Broomfield Reserves 2-0, while Cherry Tree Sports 'A' beat Fyfield Lion Reserves 5-2, Paul Gravatt, Barry Collins, Nigel Papley, Matthew Price and an own goal counting for the Sports.

Highfield Victoria missed a number of chances at Little Waltham Reserves but still won 3-1. Danny Syrrett scored Victoria's first goal, and the second came from Chris 'Junior' O'Shea before Waltham pulled a goal back before the interval.

After the break, Peter Hammond's goal kick was touched on by a Waltham defender into his own net to complete the scoring.

Great Baddow Kings Head led hosts Infield 2-0 at the interval, thanks to Gary Smith and James Crabtree goals.

It was soon 3-0 as Gareth Chittocks netted with a super free kick but after being reduced to ten players, Kings Head fell apart, and Infield fought back well to salvage a point.

Infield's goalscorers were James Jenkins, Jim Clarke with a 20 yard volley (his first goal for the club) and Rob Olmerough.

DIVISION FOUR

Boreham beat Directa Hotspur 4-2, Kevin McCann (3) and Andy Brown (penalty) scoring for Boreham and Directa finished the match with ten players after one had been sent off.

Swaning played well in the first half against promotion chasing Writtle Manor , but they lost the plot in the second half and Manor an out 6-1 winners.

Manor's goals were netted by Matthew Griffin (3), Brian Menzies, Neil Farron and Andrew Titley.

Nick Connolly and Matt Payne goals gave Penerol a 2-0 interval lead but ECC Staff rallied well after the break to earn a 2-2 draw.

DIVISION FIVE

Margaretting SSC Reserves beat Chelmsford Social Club Reserves 6-1 although the game was closer than the scoreline would suggest. The Margaretting goals were netted by Danny Razor (3), Dean Reed, Lee Jefferson and Kevin Adams.
