Canvey Island drew the toughest opponents this afternoon when the draw was made for the semi-finals of the FA Umbro Trophy.

The Gulls, who beat Telford United 1-0 in the quarter-final at Park Lane on Saturday, have home advantage for the first leg on March 31 when they meet Chester City. Canvey travel to The Diva Stadium for the return leg on April 7.

It will be a tough test for Jeff King's men for the Blues are currently fifth in the Nationwide Conference after being relegated from Nationwide Division Three last season.

But the Gulls will go into the match knowing they have already dumped Conference sides Stevenage Borough and Telford United out of the top competition for non-league teams.

The winners will face either Forest Green Rovers or Hereford United in the final at Aston Villa's Villa Park home on May 13.

Gloucestershire-based Rovers host Hereford at their The Lawns home in the first leg before they travel to Edgar Street for the second leg.

Hereford are currently sixth in the Conference while Rovers are four off the bottom in 19th place.
