Leigh heavyweight Danny Percival suffered mixed fortunes in his third pro bout at Bethnal Green's York Hall.
Percival decked Blackpool's Eamonn Glennon within 30 seconds of the first-round in the contest, before easing to a comfortable points win over four rounds.
But an accidental clash of heads in the final three minutes left the 27-year-old needing three stitches to a cut over his left eye.
He is now out for a mandatory six weeks and has been forced to postpone his next scheduled fight on April 3.
