newsagent was left "shaken and distressed" after being robbed at knifepoint by a gang of youths.

Six youngsters went into Dailys Newsagent in Rosemary Road, Clacton, at about 1pm yesterday (Sunday).

One was armed with a knife and the gang manhandled the Asian shop keeper, who suffered a minor cut below his right eye.

Det Sgt Martin Brough, of Clacton police, said the youths, four boys and two girls, stole a quantity of cash in the robbery.

"The shop keeper, an Asian man aged 46 years old, was left shocked and distressed by this incident," he said.

Police arrested four male youths last night on suspicion of robbery. They were due to be questioned by detectives today (Monday). A 15-year-old girl was arrested yesterday on suspicion of robbery, but released without charge.
