Former Peterborough player Simon Clark is desperate to captain Colchester to victory against his old side at Layer Road.
The former Posh player is keen to get one over on his former club and old manager Barry Fry when the two sides meet in tonight's (Tuesday's) crucial Division Two clash.
"It's a very special match for me and a huge game for Colchester as a club," said the experienced central defender, who suffered the embarrassment of getting sent off for incurring two yellow cards on returning to his olf stamping ground in October.
Peterboough won 3-1 that day and Clark confessed: "It wasn't really the best of days I've had.
"I'm really up for this one and i kow the ret of the lads are too.
"Tonight's is one of the biggest games of the season for us and after our poor display against Rovers it's a huge match for a number of reasons.
"It's frightening how close we've allowed ourselves to flirt around the relegation area, because we shouldn't be looking over our shoulder at the bottom clubs at all. We should be looking at the top end of the table."
Heading for safety - Simon Clark is banking on U's success over his old club Peterborough
