George Burley is taking nothing for granted in the race for Europe - and believes his Ipswich Town high-flyers must keep looking over their shoulders until qualification has been secured.

The 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Monday left the Blues just a point behind second-placed Arsenal and, more importantly, ten ahead of faltering Sunderland in seventh.

Two wins from their last four games - against strugglers Coventry and Manchester City at home and Charlton and Derby away - would almost certainly earn them a place in next season's Champions League or UEFA Cup.

But Burley, well aware of the scramble for places in their wake, is refusing to take anything for granted.

He said: "When you've been in the top six for so long you set your standards high and we'll be doing our best.

"But you look at Leeds, you look at Liverpool, you look at Chelsea, you look at Sunderland - all of those teams are fighting for third position and we've just got to keep working hard.

"We're ten points clear of Sunderland at the moment so who knows?

"But we're confident we'll manage to have enough points to qualify."

Chelsea moved up to fifth in the Premiership - five points behind Town with a game in hand - after beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at White Hart Lane last night (Tuesday).
